It’s been a little quiet around here, but there’s a good reason behind it.
Greens, medicinal plants and herbs have been the bulk of what we’ve grown since we started growing here in 1999. It’s what we consumed the most of personally, so it’s not a surprise that we put our full efforts into it.
We’ve been busy these last few weeks preparing to scale the farm to include the year round growing of microgreens and beautiful gourmet salad greens and herbs for you, and for the restaurant trade. They will be grown here on our farm near Maine, and at a family owned urban farm nearby.
With year round growth we have the opportunity to offer a CSA type program to friends of our farm, and also have a healthy selection of edible plants for our seasonal kitchen garden design clients. It will also allow us to expand our organically managed gardens here at the farm for my therapeutic agriculture clients so we can better serve our community.
As a culinary professional and a grower, I have insight into these amazing sources of taste and nutrition that I’ve been waiting to share for ages, and we are so excited to get started.
